Meet Erik, aka the Opera Ghost, aka the Phantom of The Opera.

Somewhat darker than what what you've come to expect from me, I suppose. But I've just reread the book, which is so very, very sad. Wonderful, brilliant, but -alas - very, very sad. I'm always bawling like an idiot by the epilogue.

And no, this is definitely neither the Gerard Butler-Phantom nor the general A.L.Webber-Phantom. This is Leroux-Erik, or Kay-Erik, if you're familiar with that version. Hence; full-face deformity, no nose, and generally..."le mort vivant". If you don't know Webber, Leroux or Kay, or POTO in general, well... go get aquainted with them! For now, all you need to know is that Erik is a terribly deformed guy who lives under the Garnier opera house in Paris. See, my description is awful. Now you need to read the book to make up for it.
